BEFORE HIS DEATH DR ABDUL QADEER KHAN INTENDED TO CHALLENGE MD KATE


ISLAMABAD: About 11 hours before his death, nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan had told Dawn that he would challenge the faulty entrance tests of medical and dental colleges in court.
 

According to the Dawn newspaper, his words were: "I am going to file a petition in the Islamabad High Court on Monday against the faulty MD CAT (medical student entrance test) as it has ruined the future of millions of students." '

He was speaking to Dawn on Saturday evening on the issue of results released by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).

This shows how concerned he was about the problems facing the common man and especially the candidates who have been asked by the PMC to ignore the preliminary results.

His view was that the government had introduced a faulty Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MD CAT) which endangered the future of medical students in the country

According to media reports, the PMC had announced that about 125,000 or 65% of the candidates failed to get passing marks

The correspondent received a phone call from Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan at 6:28 pm in which the well-known scientist said that he was very worried about the future of medical students Therefore, he has decided to challenge the Islamabad High Court on this issue

About his health, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan said in a weak voice that he has returned home after treatment of cod in the hospital but his condition is not good, he said "I have pain all over my body".

Now that the scientists who made the country a nuclear power have passed away, it is unclear whether their families will follow their lead.

Earlier, in an interview with Dawn, he had said that while he was being treated in hospital for code 19, the current rulers did not inquire about his well-being, which he was unhappy about

In a recent letter to the Sindh Chief Minister, he had expressed his displeasure over the attitude of the federal government
