ARE YOU LOSING YOUR HAIR? SO, WHAT IS THE INCREDIBLE CAUSE FOR THIS?
Hair loss affects the majority of men as they get older, but why does it happen?
And now a new medical study in the United States has revealed a possible answer to this question.
Medical experts believe that normal stem cells, including tissues and organs, including hair, begin to die gradually with age, which is also considered an inevitable process of aging.
But a study by Northwestern University made a startling discovery, or at least the effects of aging on hair in animals.
According to this study, the stem cells that keep hair healthy escape from the structure where they dwell as people get older.
Two genes that affect hair as it ages were discovered in the study, which could aid in the development of ways to prevent hair loss by blocking stem cells from migrating. Will
Stem cells play a key role in hair growth in mice and humans.
Researchers, like most scientists, assumed that as people become older, stem cells die, causing hair to turn white and then baldness.
They did this by implanting human hair glands in mice's ears and then examining them.
The study made the startling discovery that with age, as the rat's hair began to turn white and fall out, the stem cells began to escape from their specific places.
These cells changed their structure and made it possible for them to escape from these glands and came out and returned to their normal structure and went somewhere else.
The researchers said that if we had not observed it ourselves, we would never have believed it.
After the stem leaves its place, the cells get lost somewhere in the immune system.
Following this discovery, the researchers determined which genes are involved in this process and discovered two that are less active in aging hair follicle cells.
Their importance in preserving stem cells is dwindling.
Now the researchers plan to work on ways to protect hair stem cells in older mice.
"This unexpected natural process tells us that we need to know a lot about living things," the researchers said.
The results of the study were published in the medical journal Nature Aging.
